Opening April 1969
Getting Our Start
Captain Clean Ltd served customers for the first time. We had just one vacuum truck, and our only operator was Bob Lehman, our owner. Bob's vision was to offer superior cleaning services, and his commitment was the driving force of the business. This is where our business started, and we're still proud to be a family-owned business ready to serve you.
Growing Through the 1970s
Expansion and Growth
As Captain Clean Ltd found its footing, the cleaning models were changed. Now, the company offered three work phases, residential, insurance claims, and industrial vacuuming. Residential cleaning included carpets, raps, furniture, furnaces, and ductwork. Insurance claims involved cleaning up after fires, floods, and other water damage.
Flourishing in the 1980s
Business Focus
During this period, residential and insurance work was phased out. Water blasters, jetters, and wet pump units were added to our vacuum trucks to meet the demands of the industrial market. Our specialization as industrial cleaners had begun!
1990s to Present
Corporate Expansion
Industrial and commercial cleaning became our sole focus, and Captain Clean Ltd expanded into the corporation it is today. With a growing demand for our innovative cleaning methods, we've built up a loyal customer base in Iowa and beyond.
